The State of HD Gaming
By request I’ve written an extended version my Xbox 360 and HDMI article. The article appears exclusively in the Editorial section of the Xbox-Scene forums.
The State of HD Gaming – Past Present and Future
Xbox 360 and HDMI
One of the many things people complained about when the Xbox 360 was first released was the lack of an HDMI port. Many speculated that they could come out with an HDMI adapter down the road however that speculation has since been quashed. More recently we’ve seen report after report after report confirming that an HDMI capable Xbox 360 does exist and that it will arrive very very soon (update: it’s now official). Xbox 360 Hypervisor Cracked
There’s no post this week because I’m on vacation. Check back next week for your weekly dose of Opinion. For those of you who don’t know that mean that the Xbox 360 is potentially cracked as wide open as the Xbox 1 in terms of being able to run unsigned code, which means things like XBMC, Linux, and emulators might start popping up as well as more useful modchips or other kinds of hacks. Keep your eyes open, this is the start of exciting times.

Instead I see nothing but Fear Uncertainty and Doubt (otherwise known as FUD) and a hefty helping of paranoia. Basically all of the game pirates who hide behind the thin veil of a security blanket they call “backups” are worried that their free games pass is about to expire. (more…)
